Little Elephants

This is the Tickner Family. Peter, Claire, Laura, and Jaron are the sweetest family you could meet. Peter and Claire are doing a wonderful job spreading God’s Word here in Australia and Laura and Jaron have such wonderful hearts.

Every morning between 7:00 and 7:30, Emily and I woke up to the “little elephants”, as Peter and Claire call it, running around and playing upstairs. This family are one of the most Godly families I know and they will hold a special place in my heart for the rest of my life. Emily and I have had the best time getting to know them. They have such a positive impact in the Sydney area and in the two short weeks, the whole group saw the positive impact in the church in Macquarie and around Sydney. If God blesses me with a family someday, I hope I can be as positive and as hard working for the Lord as Peter, Claire, and these precious kids.

Thursday was our last night at the Tickner house. Claire made an AMAZING dinner with even better dessert. Then they showered Emily and I with gifts. After that, it was our turn to shower them with gifts. The kids loved their Bible games, coloring books, reading books, and toys, Claire loved all the baking things we gave her, and Peter was excited about going on a date with Claire to Pancakes on the Rocks. This family deserved so much more than we gave them.

After all the gift giving, we went on a surprise outing. We had never seen the bridge and Opera House up close at night and it was gorgeous.

Above: the bridge all lit up.

It's hard to tell, but the Opera House is on the left, not lit up.

Jaron, Peter, and Claire walking and singing "Let's go fly a kite!"

A better picture of the bridge.

We walked by a carnival!

The cutest kids in Australia! :)

I pray that God blesses the Tickner family and the work they are doing in Australia for many years. Emily and I have enjoyed getting to know them the past two weeks and they will be greatly missed.

We made it to Campbelltown safely around 4:00 yesterday afternoon! Today we went to a newly married couples house, Jonathan and Kim, for a BBQ brunch and just hung out around their pool and house. I just got back from the rugby game that was a lot of fun! Church is tomorrow and we have a lot of new people to meet! My next post will be out of order a few days...Claire took me, Emily, Madison, and Katy to the Olympic Stadium and around that area on Wednesday night after church and we have pictures of out little adventure. Stay tuned for that! Goodnight from Campbelltown!

P.S. – My apologizes for my horrible spelling about Kaitlyn’s SHOUT (not shot) out.  My English teachers would not be proud of me...I wanted to correct my bad spelling.
