Bad Getaway Car...

Hello everyone!

I'm gonna jump right into today's post. I told you guys that last Wednesday, Claire took me, Emily, Katy, and Madison to the Olympic Stadium and we had a blast!! We knew we wouldn't be able to actually go into any of the several stadiums that were used during the 2000 Olympics, but we were wrong... ;)

Above: the Field Hockey Stadium.

The four of us and Claire happened to stumble upon an open gate into the stadium. When a group of crazy American tourists see an open gate to an Olympic stadium, what do they do?? Go in and take pictures, DUH!! :)

There were players practicing on the field when we drove by, but they were all huddled up talking where we couldn't see them when we got into the stadium. Look close at the bottom right corner of the picture and you can see three heads of some players.

The Aquatic Centre. If I had dove forward when the sliding doors were closing when three guys came out of the centre, we could have seen the swimming pool, but we thought they could let us back in, hence me not diving on the ground. We were sad, but it was still fun to see part of it.

This and other writing was around the torch that was lit for the games.

The Acer Arena. Not sure what games went on here, but still a cool stadium.

Now on to explaining the title of this post. When were walking back to the car from the Field Hockey Stadium, we thought someone was gonna walk up to us for being in the stadium. Being in the other car that doesn't have the car seats for the kids, Claire was not use to using Peter's car. We starting joking about having to drive off fast in case we really couldn't be in the stadium and Claire couldn't find the key hole to start the car. We all started laughing because we definitely would have been caught due to our bad getaway car. A few minutes later, after exiting the entrance, making  (kinda) "illegal" turns to get out, and cracking more jokes about running from the cops for being in the stadium, we were on our way to more of the Olympic stuff. The night was full of fun, laughing, and wishing Michael Phelps was in the 2000 Olympics.

These pillars, as you can see, start out small and then gradually get bigger. They listed every single person who competed in the 2000 Olympics. It was pretty cool.

Sorry this post is not as entertaining as the others, but my Harry Potter 7 book is calling my name. You better believe we would've taken a picture with Michael Phelps' name if he had competed in the 2000 Olympics. Too bad he was only like 15 then...

I need to stop babbling about Phelps. Tomorrow is an early morning at a local elementary serving breakfast. We are all excited about it!! Everyone have a great day!
